JAM V: Ice Madness - Jan 21

Are you ready for Ice Madness '11?! Who will win the PBCC Jr. High Ice Madness Trophy this year?? We'll find out on Friday, January 21st, from 8:00 pm - 10:45 pm in Cupertino Square (Vallco Mall). It's gonna be an awesome time of skating (8:00-9:30), broomball (9:45-10:45), and ice-cold MAYHEM!! You won't want to miss it!! The cost is $15. Reserve your spot by RSVP’ing on-line (hit the RSVP button above) by January 19th. You can turn your money and permission slip into the office anytime or bring them that night. JAM IV: Elf The Night Away - Dec 11

Come to the church on December 11th to ELF THE NIGHT AWAY with us!!! We will play lots of games, including dressing up a staffer (shhh-don't tell them) and human bowling with a twist... Plus we'll watch the movie Elf and eat some pizza and popcorn (bring a bean bag). It'll be a good 'ol ToHu-ian party with all of your friends!! Also, we'll collect any canned food you bring to donate to 2nd Harvest Food Bank in San Jose. Let's see how many pounds of canned food we can collect!! Don't forget to RSVP by hitting the button above by December 8 to let us know you plan on coming. Go here for the flyer.

JAM III: A Beautiful Day + Fast 4 Hunger - Nov 7 & 14

Ready for some BIG FUN WHILE SERVING?? Join us for our November JAM - it is a service project and a fast. The service project is a rake-n-run around the church neighborhood and the fast is to raise money for our VisionTrust students. Download the flyer here. Here are the three easy steps:
1. Pass out Flyers: During the 2nd service on Sunday, 11/7, we will walk around our church neighborhood and pass out flyers regarding our Rake-N-Run on Nov 14. RSVP on-line by Nov 4 if you can help with this step. Meet in the JH room at 10:00 and bring $2 for an ICEE at Q Mart.
2. The Fast: Figure out how much it costs to feed you per day. Contribute that amount plus ask your parents, friends, extended family, etc, if they will ALSO donate that amount. Begin the fast after lunch on Saturday, November 13. Whenever you feel hungry, pray for your sponsored student. Download pledge sheets here.
3. Break the Fast + A Beautiful Day: After 2nd service on November 14 (~12:00), we will all break the fast together with pizza in the youth room. At around 12:30, we will begin walking around the neighborhood raking people’s yards (and helping the high schoolers wash windows). We will all meet back at PBCC around 3:30 for ice cream. Parents should pick up students at church at 4:00. Bring $5 for pizza, rakes, gloves and your donations that day. Also, please RSVP on-line before Nov 9 for this step. Thanks!

The BLUE CHICKENS will be let loose on October 29 from 7-8:30. What’s a Blue Chicken you ask?? Well, you will need to find your way through an extremely difficult maze to get to the end… Oh, and avoid the blue chickens... It's the Rooster - YAY!! GREAT JOB 8th Graders!! The colors are SUPER-AWESOME too. Here's the deal - we will be taking orders through November 1st so place your order now! Email Shawn or signup on Sundays. The cost is as follows: regular tees - $12, girls cut - $16 (girl cuts run a size small), hoodies - $25. The sizes are adult sizes S/M/L/XL. Bring your money when the shirts arrive.

Mark this night on your calendar for a GI-NORMOUS night of FUN!!! It will run from 4pm to 7pm, and will start and end in the Jr. High Room at PBCC. Bring $5 for pizza. We'll be splitting up into teams and taking pictures of your team doing some crazy, crazy things! You won't want to miss this JAM!! Bring some friends along for the fun! All of you have done a SUPER job loving and supporting your VisionTrust students. And, one of you, George Mathen, has created a fantastic painting with the intent of selling it somehow and giving the money to our sponsored students. We have decided the best way to do this is by silent auction. Here is how it will work:
- The silent auction is for the entire church, not just youth ministry families.

- Bidding can be done in a variety of ways: email (to Ryan or Shawn), phone, text, face-to-face, etc.

- Basically, any way that you can get your bid to Ryan or Shawn will work.
