SUNDAY ToHu: Join us on Sunday mornings at 8:30 in Room 202/203 for Sunday Morning ToHu (Hebrew word for ‘formless’ or ‘chaos’). We have fun, we play, sing, pray, worship, hang out and dig into God's word together to discover how to become Transformed ToHus. Come join us!
LITTLE ToHus: We also gather in small groups several times each month during the week (during the school year) in which Jr. Highers can enjoy friendships, talk about real life, study God's word and grow closer to him and each other.
JAMS: We get together for big, fun, blowout times we call "JAMs": times to have fun, be friends, bring friends and enjoy life! We play (e.g. Ridiculympics, Pins & Pies), we serve (e.g. Fast 4 Hunger, Christmas Joy), we celebrate (e.g. Splendor in the Grass) and we get a little crazy (e.g. Video Scavenger Hunt, Human Bowling). You can see some of the fun we have on our Pics & Vids page.
ADVENTURES: Yes, we go on adventures! Beach, BBQ, Baptism Bonanza every summer, Hume Lake in the snow every winter, and Whitewater rafting on the Klamath River each summer. PBCC Jr. High adventures get us away from the grind of everyday life and into over-the-top, fantastic and life-changing experiences with God.
Jr. High is a very difficult and life-shaping time for most young teens and pre-teens. We are here to help our kids navigate this season in life and to encourage, support and teach what it means to live in relationship with the living God through His Son Jesus Christ.
Our goal is not to make good kids. Our goal is to earn the right to lead kids into relationship with Jesus so that they know true, satisfying, real life and He can transform their lives into what He desires for them.
We have more reason to celebrate than anyone else on Earth; the party's here! God has given us the gift of life, value, identity and total acceptance. So we celebrate!
We seek to walk alongside families as they walk (or run as the case may be) through the Jr. High years with their kids. We desire to encourage, assist, counsel and partner with families in any way we can with the ultimate common goal of fostering a relationship with Jesus.
